TECNO has finally introduced its flagship, the CAMON 50 Ultra 5G, in India. This is the third model in the CAMON 50 series, and the most expensive one in the lineup. It is one of the few phones in this price segment to offer a telephoto lens with 3x zoom. The Tecno Camon 50 Ultra is a camera-centric phone with a triple camera setup. You get a 50MP Sony LYT 700C primary camera with a 1/1.56-inch sensor and OIS support. Furthermore, there’s a 50MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom for those portrait shots. Last but not least, you get an 8-megapixel ultrawide-angle sensor for those group photos. For selfies, you get an 8-megapixel camera on the front with an f/2.2 aperture.

Since no phone in 2026 feels complete without AI, the TECNO CAMON 50 Ultra offers features such as AI 100x Superzoom, which captures digitally zoomed images at 100x. There’s also Zoom FlashSnap for stable zoomed shots. Other AI features include Live Photo and Underwater Photography mode.

Speaking of underwater, the CAMON 50 Ultra features a triple IP rating: IP68, IP69, and IP69K. It’s also pretty durable with a military-grade MIL-STD-810 certification and Gorilla Glass 7i protection on the front.

As far as the rest of the specs are concerned, the CAMON 50 Ultra sports a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate. With a peak brightness of 4500 nits and a pixel density of 429ppi, it’s perfect for consuming content.

Given that it’s a camera-centric phone, TECNO had to make some compromises, which is evident in its performance. The MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate powers it, and this chipset is usually found in 20-25K phones like the Vivo T4R and Motorola G86 Power.

The CAMON 50 Ultra ships with Android 16, based on HiOS 16. It will be available in a single variant with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. TECNO has promised 3 years of OS updates and 5 years of security patches for the phone.
