ColorOS 17 Release Date Revealed
The ColorOS 17 update will be revealed at the Oppo Developer Conference (ODC) on September 17, 2026. Apart from ColorOS, we will also get updates about its ecosystem, business growth, sports, and health. The ColorOS 17 update is currently in closed beta, and it will be based on Android 17.
The open beta for ColorOS 17 is likely to be released on the same date for Oppo, OnePlus, and Realme devices. For those unaware, Realme and Oppo are now sub-brands of Oppo, and their devices will transition to ColorOS 17.
Although the beta is currently limited to China, we could get a timeline for the global ColorOS 17 update rollout, which is likely to arrive by the end of this year.

- Control Centre: The Control Centre has been redesigned with redesigned volume and brightness sliders having animated icons. Every element in the Control Centre has rounded corners for a seamless look.
- Frosted Glass: ColorOS 17 update features a frosted glass effect with rounded corners across the UI. There are also new Flux themes for customization. The app folders are also transparent now with blurred glass effects.
- New Security Features: Since ColorOS 17 is based on Android 17, it will get plenty of new security features such as advanced network protection, anti-theft controls, and more.
